Check Your Rate
Five minutes, a decision in minutes, and a soft credit check. You are not committed to anything until you read a written offer and sign it.
Checking your rate takes about five minutes, uses a soft credit inquiry that will not affect your FICO® score, and costs nothing. You are not committed to anything until you read a full written offer and e-sign it.
What you will need
- Your full legal name, address and date of birth
- Social Security number or ITIN
- Income details, and your employer or income source
- The routing and account number of the checking account you want funded
- A government-issued photo ID, if we ask for one
Most applications need no documents at all, because income and identity are verified electronically through a secure read-only connection to your bank. Full detail in how it works.
What happens next
| Stage | Timing |
|---|---|
| Decision on your application | Usually within minutes |
| You review the written offer | As long as you need; nothing is owed |
| You e-sign | Only if the terms work for you |
| Funds released | Same business day if signed before 11 a.m. ET |
What your offer will show
Not a summary: the APR, the finance charge in dollars, the amount funded after any origination fee, every payment date and amount, the total of payments, and the fees that apply if a payment is late or returned. See rates and terms for the ranges before you start.
Applying safely
We never ask for payment before funding, never ask for your online banking password, and never contact you unsolicited offering approval for a loan you did not apply for. If something claiming to be us does not match that, check how to spot a loan scam and tell us.
Frequently asked questions
Does applying affect my credit score?
Checking your rate uses a soft inquiry that does not affect your FICO score. A hard inquiry may occur only if you accept a personal loan offer, and we tell you before that happens.
Is there a fee to apply?
No. Checking your rate is free and nothing is owed until you e-sign. If an origination fee applies to your loan it is disclosed in the offer and deducted from the amount funded.
What documents do I need to apply?
Usually none. Income and identity are verified electronically in most cases. If we need more, a recent pay stub, bank statement, benefits letter or photo ID is normally enough.
How long before I get the money?
A decision usually comes within minutes. Funds are sent the same business day if you e-sign before 11:00 a.m. ET, otherwise the next business day.
Borrow $200 to $5,000 for any purpose
