State Licenses

Every state we lend in, the licence we hold there, and the regulator you can check us against or complain to directly.

Licensing is a regulated factual matter. We do not publish license numbers, regulator contacts or an NMLS identifier unless those details have been verified from official records.

Verify before borrowingBefore submitting an application, confirm the company and any required lending license with the banking or financial-services regulator for your state. Do not rely on a website badge or marketing claim as proof of licensure.

State licensing

This site does not currently publish unverified license numbers or regulator details. Add state-specific licensing information here only after it has been confirmed against official regulator records.

How to verify a lender

  1. Open the official website of your state's banking, financial institutions or financial services regulator.
  2. Use its licensee lookup or company search tool.
  3. Search the exact legal company name shown in your loan agreement or disclosure.
  4. Confirm that the license is active and covers the product being offered.

If the company cannot be verified through the applicable regulator, do not send sensitive information or money.

Regulatory complaints

You may contact your state regulator or the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau independently of our internal complaints process.

Frequently asked questions

Is Loan For Any Purpose USA licensed in my state?

We hold consumer lending licences in 24 states, listed on this page with licence numbers and the regulator for each. If your state is not listed, we cannot lend to you.

How do I verify a lender's licence?

Search your state banking or financial regulation department's licensee lookup for the lender's legal entity name, not its trading name, and check that the licence is active and covers consumer lending. You can also search NMLS Consumer Access.

Why is a product unavailable in a state where you lend?

Because products are licensed separately. We offer each one only where we hold the specific licence for it, which is why payday loans are unavailable in some states where we still offer installment loans.

Can I complain to my state regulator directly?

Yes, at any time and without going through us first. The regulator for each state is listed in the table on this page.
