Text Message Policy

Consent to marketing texts is never a condition of getting credit, and STOP works immediately.

TEMPLATE — REMOVE THIS BOX BEFORE PUBLISHINGThis page is a drafting starting point prepared from common industry practice. It is not legal advice and has not been reviewed by an attorney. We send text messages only to numbers where consent has been given. Consent to receive marketing texts is never a condition of obtaining credit. You may receive two categories of message:

  • Servicing messages about an active loan: payment reminders, confirmations and account notices. These are sent because you have a loan with us.
  • Marketing messages about products and offers. These require your express written consent and can be stopped at any time.

How to stop messages

ReplyWhat happens
STOPMarketing texts to that number stop. We send one confirmation message and nothing further.
HELPYou receive our contact details and a link to this page.
START or UNSTOPMessages resume if you previously opted out.

You can also call Contact us or email [email protected]. Opting out of marketing texts does not stop essential servicing communications about an active loan, which may be sent by email, post or phone.

Frequency and cost

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply and are set by your mobile carrier, not by us. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Keeping your number current

Tell us if you change or give up your mobile number, so that messages about your account do not reach someone else. [Confirm your process for scrubbing reassigned numbers, which matters for TCPA exposure.]

What we never send by text

  • Requests for your Social Security number, full card number or online banking password
  • Links asking you to re-enter bank details
  • Demands for payment by gift card, wire or cryptocurrency
  • Unsolicited approval offers for a loan you did not apply for

If you receive any of these in our name, it is not us. See how to spot a loan scam and tell us.

Privacy

Mobile numbers and consent records are handled in line with our privacy policy. [Confirm with counsel that consent capture, records and revocation handling meet TCPA requirements, including the one-to-one consent rules.]
