Change a Due Date

If your payment date does not match your pay cycle, move it. No charge, and it is not a missed payment, as long as you ask three business days ahead.

If your payment date does not line up with when you are actually paid, move it. There is no charge for a due date change and it is not recorded as a missed payment. The only requirement is that you ask before the date arrives.

How to request one

  1. Call Contact us or email [email protected] at least three business days before the payment is due.
  2. Tell us the date you would like instead and when your income actually arrives.
  3. We confirm in writing, and the change applies from that payment onwards unless you ask for a one-off move.
Three business days is the real deadlineACH debits are submitted in advance. Inside three business days the payment is often already in the network, and the only way to stop it is a return, which triggers a fee. Calling early costs nothing; calling late can cost $25 plus whatever your bank charges.

What we can and cannot do

CanCannot
Move a due date to match your pay cycleSkip a payment entirely without an arrangement
Make a one-off move for a single monthReduce the total you owe
Change the day of the month permanentlyMove a date after the payment has been submitted
Switch between weekly, biweekly and monthly where your product allowsChange the loan term without a new agreement

Moving a date slightly later can add a small amount of interest, because interest accrues for the extra days. We will tell you the figure before you agree to it.

How often can I move a date?

Occasional changes are fine and common; pay cycles change and so do circumstances. If you are asking most months, the issue is usually the size of the payment rather than its timing, and there are better tools for that. See trouble paying.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a fee to change my due date?

No. A due date change is free and is not recorded as a missed or late payment.

How much notice do you need?

At least three business days before the payment is due. ACH debits are submitted in advance, so inside that window the payment may already be in the network and stopping it would trigger a returned payment fee.

Will changing my due date cost me more interest?

Moving a date slightly later adds interest for the extra days. We tell you the exact figure before you agree to the change.

How many times can I change my due date?

Occasional changes are fine. If you need to move a date most months, the payment size rather than its timing is usually the issue, and a hardship arrangement is the better tool.
