Who Can Apply

Four requirements, no minimum credit score on most products, and eight kinds of income that count. Checking your rate is free and uses a soft inquiry.

One page covering what every applicant needs, what counts as income, what we check and what happens if we cannot approve you. If you meet the four requirements below, it is worth applying: checking your rate is free and uses a soft inquiry that will not affect your FICO® score.

Gig and platform workPlatform earnings statements, deposits, 1099-K
Contract work1099-NEC, contracts, bank deposits

What we actually assess

  • Income: how much, how regularly, and how stable it looks over recent months.
  • Existing commitments: what is already spoken for each month before this payment.
  • Banking history: an account with few returned payments carries real weight.
  • Credit history: considered, but never the sole reason for a decision, and there is no minimum score on most products.

Extra requirements by product

ProductAdditional requirement
Personal loansFair credit or better recommended for the lowest APRs
Debt consolidationFair credit or better recommended
Title loansLien-free vehicle title in your name, current registration, proof of insurance
Payday loansAvailable only where your state permits them

Who we cannot lend to

  • Anyone whose income does not support the payment
  • Covered active-duty service members and dependents, above the 36% Military APR cap: see the MLA
  • Anyone with an existing open short-term loan with us
  • Residents of states where we hold no licence: see states we serve

If we cannot approve you

You will receive an adverse action notice stating the specific reason, and you can reapply after 30 days. The most common reasons are income below our minimum, a checking account that is too new or has recent returned payments, an existing open loan with us, or living outside the states we serve.

Documents to have handy

Most applications need none, because income and identity are verified electronically. If we do ask, one or two of a recent pay stub, a bank statement, a benefits letter, a photo ID or a utility bill dated in the last 60 days is normally enough.

Frequently asked questions

What do I need to qualify for a loan?

You must be 18 or older, have at least $1,000 a month in verifiable income after tax, hold an active checking account in your name that has been open at least 30 days, have a government-issued ID and a Social Security number or ITIN, and live in a state where we are licensed.

Is there a minimum credit score?

No, on most products. The decision weighs income, existing commitments and banking history alongside your credit report. Personal and debt consolidation loans are aimed at fair credit and above because they carry the lowest rates.

Do benefits count as income?

Yes. Social Security, SSDI, SSI, VA disability, pensions and annuities all count, as do self-employment, gig and contract income.

Can I apply without a pay stub?

Yes. Bank deposits, tax returns, 1099 forms, benefit award letters and signed job offer letters all work as proof of income.

What happens if I am declined?

You receive an adverse action notice explaining the specific reason and can reapply after 30 days.
