Loans Without a Pay Stub
We cannot lend without verifying income, but a pay stub is only one of seven ways to do it. Here is what we accept instead.
Let us be direct about what this page is and is not. We cannot lend without verifying that you have income, because lending to someone who cannot repay is harmful and, in most states, illegal. What we can do is verify income in several ways that do not involve a pay stub, which is what most people searching for this actually need.

What we accept instead of a pay stub
| If your income is… | We can use… |
|---|---|
| Self-employment or freelance | Bank deposits, 1099s, tax return, invoices |
| Gig or platform work | Platform earnings statements, deposits, 1099-K |
| Cash wages | Deposits into your account, plus your tax return |
| Benefits | Award letter, SSA-1099, or the monthly deposit |
| Pension or annuity | Statement or the recurring deposit |
| Child support or alimony | Court order plus the recurring deposit |
| A new job not yet paid | Signed offer letter with start date and salary |
In most cases nothing is uploaded at all: a secure, read-only connection to your bank shows the deposits and the application completes in one sitting.
If you are paid in cash
Cash wages are real income, but they are invisible to an underwriter unless they reach your bank account. Depositing your cash regularly, even in small amounts, builds a verifiable record within a couple of months and makes the difference between a decline and an approval. If you file a tax return declaring the income, bring that too.
If you genuinely have no income
We will not be able to approve you, and a lender who would is not doing you a favour. Two things are more useful than a loan at that point: dialling 211 for local rent, food and utility assistance, and a free session with a non-profit credit counsellor through the National Foundation for Credit Counseling. Both are free, and neither adds a payment to next month.

Frequently asked questions
Can I get a loan without proof of income?
Not without any verification at all, because lending to someone who cannot repay is harmful and in most states illegal. But a pay stub is only one form of proof: bank deposits, 1099s, tax returns, benefit letters, pension statements and signed offer letters all work.
What can I use instead of a pay stub?
Two to three months of bank statements showing deposits is the most common alternative. Depending on your situation we also accept 1099 forms, a tax return, invoices, a Social Security award letter, a pension statement or a signed job offer letter.
Are no income verification loans real?
Any lender advertising that it will lend with no income check at all is either unlicensed in your state or not a lender. Advance-fee scams use that promise specifically because it attracts people under pressure.
I am paid in cash. Can I still borrow?
Yes, if the cash reaches your bank account. Depositing regularly builds a verifiable record within a couple of months. A tax return declaring the income helps as well.
